SORTING PROCESS

Our process

Trends and demands of 2nd hand markets are determining for our daily activities. Adapting the sorting to meet the needs of our customers is an important part as it is our goal is to enable the greatest possible reuse of the collected goods.

About 75% of the goods we purchase are sold worldwide as second-hand products. What is no longer
wearable is sustainable processed in recycling facilities. Only a small residual share of 2% is professionally disposed of in energy recovery plants. In this way, we take 100% responsibility for all delivered goods and recycle them in the best possible ecological way.

As a KIWA certified company, we are in full compliance with European quality standards on sustainable processing of used textiles. It is a natural part of our work to ensure a smooth process and consistent quality of the articles we produce.

FUTURE CHALLENGES

In a growing consumer society and due to phenomena such as fast fashion the volume of discarded clothes has grown considerably in the past two decades. Unfortunately the mass production of textiles also has an impact on the durability. The fraction of clothes no longer fit to be reused has also increased. Therefore, our main supplier Boer Group (Boergroup.eu) is constantly researching and innovating new techniques for non-rewearabe clothes to be recycled so that they can remain in the cycle as a raw material.
